The Doodle Mug is made on my potter's wheel using a dark stoneware clay. I decorate the mug by painting white slip in varying thicknesses and carving a doodle through the slip to reveal the clay beneath. I apply a clear matte glaze that enhance the surface and contrasts of the colors.
