This vase was made on my potter's wheel using a dark brown stoneware clay. I put a white slip over the outer surface and carved continuous lines around the surface, evoking a pattern similar to a finger print. The lines move effortlessly flowing this way and that creating a soothing flow of a unique, unrepeatable design.
