The WOBY Mug is thrown on my potter's wheel using a dark stoneware clay. I decorate the mug by painting a combination of white, orange, black and yellow slips and carving through the slips to reveal the clay beneath. I apply a clear glaze that enhance the brightness and contrasts of the colors.
