These hummingbird feeders were made from a white stoneware on my potter's wheel. The design includes painting and carving into the clay before the piece is fired in the kiln. The surface prominently features bright red flower petals around the top center opening and green grass-like paint at the base. Green leaves enhance the inner surface of the collar at the center opening.
Hummingbird nectar is added at the top of the feeder through the center opening. The feeder comes with a cork stopper to keep the center opening closed once filled. Hang the feeder from a sturdy branch or hook using the ring loop connected to the feeder's hanging chain.
Hummingbird feeder nectar recipe included.
I use non-toxic, lead free glazes that are food safe on all of my dinner and tableware. They are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe (when pre-heated with the oven as appropriate). Hand washing, however, is recommended.
